Under the Radar Trade

I picked up a cheap box of Topps 206 last year, and although I did not get any fantastic hits, so I thought, I did get some minis, one of which was a Cycle-back Cal Ripken, numbered to 99. Some of you may have seen it on The Bench, where I do a lot of trading. What surprised me about that card, though, was the book value - another reason to be skeptical of Beckett, but who am I to argue if it nets me a fantastic vintage card.

The Ripken Cycle mini has a bv of 100!

In trade, that can grab some real nice goodies, or in this case, a fantastic 1961 Yogi Berra card in near-mint condition.

Who's complaining? Not me.
