A good reason to come home from vacation

It is always a good thing when you can get away from the daily grind and travel to warm, sunny places, have some good food, visit museums, sit and talk with friends and relatives, and generally relax. Such was this past weekend, when we went to Atlanta for a family wedding. My wife's cousin married into a wonderful, international family, and the entire weekend was no expenses spared. From a South African cookout poolside at the bride's parents' house, to an outdoor wedding at a beautiful historical society, to a lavish reception at the St. Regis, it was a weekend worth traveling for.

There are very few reasons to really be happy about returning home, aside from sleeping in your own bed and not having to pay daily for parking. However, in the mail was one of the better reasons to return home: seven packages of cards from bloggers, readers and Zistlers.

The haul included packages from Shane of Shoebox Legends, Slette of the Pettitte Pursuit, Mike of Ryan's Memorabilia, Chris of Nachos Grandes, Duane of Democratic Roadkill, skoormit from Zistle and the blogosphere, and Mahan, one of my handful of readers. I will be getting to each of you to display some of the bounty, but for now I will leave you with a few of the more magnificent cards.

Thanks to everyone who sent me something. I am humbled by your generosity and grateful for your friendship.
